v Environmental education has been found to be of paramount importance in attempts towards addressing various world’s environmental problems such as global warming and climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, deforestation, waste generation and disposal, etc.
v Professor Mbalisi advocates that environmental education contents in various disciplines and in various forms of education (formal, non-formal and informal) be articulated and streamlined into a common course or subject of study otherwise known as environmental education.
