Prof. Ngozi Casmir Ebomuche, the immediate past and the last Deputy Provost of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education (AIFCE), now Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, (AIFUE),Owerri,is a very successful academic in the field of Economics. He hails from Umuonyeali-Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State and was raised in Uyo in Akwa Ibom State where heal so acquired his secondary school education. Driven by his passion for learning, he completed his bachelor’s degree in economics at Panjab University, Chandigar, India, in1984, followed by a Master’s degree at Punjabi University, Patiala, Indiain 1986, and a Doctorate in Industrial Economics from Imo State University, Owerri in 2016. Finally, in December 2024, he reached the rank of Professor at AIFUE, Owerri.
Throughout his career, Prof. Ebomuche has made significant contributions to the field of Economics. His experienceasaneconomistandhisdedicationtoteachinghavemadehimarespectedfigureintheacademiccommunity. He has served as a Chief lecturer at AIFCE, Owerri, for the past 15years, where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of economists. His commitment to mentoring and guiding students has earned him the admiration and gratitude of his colleagues and mentees.
In addition to his teaching, Prof. Ebomuche has authored numerous journal articles, conference papers, books, and book chapters on economics-related topics and his work has gained recognition for its contribution to the field. Moreover, he also has active membership in various professional organizations and has held many administrative positions in the AIFCE, Owerri, the most recent one, since December 2022 to date, being the position of Deputy Provost of AIFCE, Owerri.
Outside of academia, Prof. Ebomuche enjoys spending time with his family and plays table tennis and football for recreation. He believes in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and encourages his students to pursue their passions beyond their academic pursuits.
Prof. Ngozi Casmir Ebomuche’s exceptional accomplishments and dedication to advancing education has made him an invaluable asset to the academic community. With his experience and unwavering commitment, he continues to make a lasting impact on the field of Economics Education.
